Explorers
WHAT WE DO
The Explorer Scout program is a program designed for young people aged 14 to 18, focusing on personal development, teamwork, and outdoor skills. Participants engage in various activities that promote leadership, community service, and adventure.
Activities of Explorer Scouts:
- Outdoor Adventures
- Community Service
- Leadership Development
- Skill Building
- Social Activities
- Exploration and Travel
- Personal Growth
This program encourages young people to explore their interests, develop new skills, and become active members of their communities.
It also allows young people to go camping in various locations around the UK and beyond! The camps range from 2 to 7 nights and are all reasonably affordable. These camps give young people the ability to further their skills in simple scouting tasks such as knots and fire building as well as more unusual activities such as archery and air rifle shooting. They also give young people the ability to interact with other young people from other scout groups in their districts, and in some cases, all over the world!
The Explorer Scout program also allows you to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh award as an alternative to with a school. This prestigious award is a sign to employers that you are a dedicated, skilled and more employable person. It is also much cheaper and more enjoyable to do with a scout group as most of the leaders are well trained and will push your abilities more than at schools.

DRAGNET
In 2024 and 2025 we entered teams into dragnet- an international explorer and network endurance competition that tests the navigation skills, stealth, mental and physical endurance, from ages 14 to 25. In 2024 we entered an explorer team and a network team, in 2025 we only entered an explorer team, and both years we had 2 of our leaders on the catcher team.
